What is the Default Category Field for?

In GeoDirectory, when adding a CPT listing, you are required to select a default category for each listing. 

This default category is used to decide the map icon and the schema applied for that particular listing. 

If you are seeing incorrect schema in search engine results, you need to edit the categories to fix it. 

How to Edit Category Schema?

Go to CPT > Categories.

Click Edit under the category that you wish to edit. (Note: You need to click Edit, not Quick Edit).

Scroll down to the very end of the page, and locate Schema Type. Choose the appropriate type of schema and save your settings. 

It is noteworthy that for any given business directory, you will most likely want to use "LocalBusiness" as the schema for every category, unless you have data that strongly matches one of the others listed on that page.
